While addressing the Youth of the Nation, Mr. Abhijit Pawar, Founder and Chairman, DCF; and Chief Mentor, Young Inspirators Network said, “The initiatives undertaken by the Young Inspirators Network (YIN) have been running successfully for the last one year. YIN has instilled self-confidence in college students to bring about change; and their enthusiasm is reaching remote places in the state of Maharashtra. YIN has now decided to hold elections for selecting Leaders from various colleges at the district and state level. We are looking at this election to create a new generation of leaders for the state which would only be possible with their enthusiastic participation. The ‘Leadership Development Program’ is not a competition between the Youth, nor linked to any commercial aspect. The main aim is to empower the youth and develop leadership skills to pave the future.”
The Young Inspirators Network (YIN) will conduct elections for college students all across Maharashtra. These elections will be held at all districts headquarters and talukas between 15th December to 30th December, 2015. Over 6000 students will compete in these election polls.
Under the aegis of the Delivering Change Foundation (DCF), the Young Inspirators Network has been working for the last one and half years to address and resolve various problems faced by the Youth.
YIN leaders working in colleges across different locations were chosen as leaders on account of their good work and contribution towards this network. Through the medium of elections, one President and a Vice President will be chosen from amongst the leaders across multiple colleges. >From these Presidents, one guardian minister for the district and a shadow cabinet for the entire state will be created.
A number of activities including training for all the elected representatives, regular meetings of the state representatives, study tours to various sites, research activities & presentation of research reports, and participation in various social conferences of the youth will be organized. Designated teachers or people working in a particular social field along with a YIN member will act as polling officers at every polling station. The poll elections will be taken care by an employee of Sakal.
