The Leadership Development Program (LDP) was conducted in Maharashtra across 35 districts, 360 talukas and 3,000 colleges out of which, 72 college and district-level representatives were selected.

There was palpable enthusiasm and excitement among the students at the workshop. They were informed about the benefits of having inherent qualities for strengthening the nation and nation-building activities by Mr. Sundeep Waslekar, Thought leader and Analyst, International Developments.

YIN can shape the youngsters with qualities for leading a democratic nation with a mature leadership and having transparent & socially-responsible governing system. Mr. Abhijit Pawar elaborated on the key role YIN could play in the future development of these students. He suggested that instead of merely limiting newspapers to informing people with news developments, the representatives should also shoulder the responsibility of social causes and improve basic infrastructural facilities. Along with this, they must focus on developing social, political and economical leadership. He further added that several nations in the world which follow good administrative system must be studied closely so that similar administrative practices can be emulated in India as well. To realise this, the youths should not only be guided, but also trained under efficient international administrators and the YIN platform will serve this purpose.
