Pune: On the third day of Sakal Natyamahotsav, audience enjoyed while watching the famous play ‘Sanshaykallol’ on Thursday. Organised by the Sakal Media Group, a series of plays will be hosted at Balgandharva Rangmandir till June 5.
Starting in the series first was the famous musical play ‘Katyar Kaljat Ghusali’ which saw a huge audience. Sakal Natyamahotsav is powered by PN Gadgil, in association with 115 Hilltown, Pride Purple Group-Rama Group and Kohinoor Group. The banking partner is Lokmanya Multipurpose Cooperative Bank.
In the series of plays till June 5, Puneites can watch, ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’, Musical play ‘Sanshaykallol’, ‘Gela Udat’, and ‘Don Special’. The plays will be staged from 9.30 pm at Balgandharva Rangmandir.
Sandhya Koranne said that theatre festival has given them an opportunity to witness theatre like never before. “We come from Akola where there no plays are held. Hence, coming to Pune and being a part of this festival, means a lot for us. We would like to thank the Sakal Media Group for organising this natyamahotsav,” said Koranne.
Another theatre lover Vittholal Bhandhari from Shrigonda said that he had come especially to watch the legendary play. “I am coming all the way from Shrigonda as this play is very famous. I am also accompanied by my granddaughter as this is a good opportunity for her to experience theatre at its best,” added Bhandari.
