More than 40 educationists including vice chancellors of several universities from Maharashtra and other parts of India are taking part in the 12th edition of Sakal Educon, an annual educational conference, taking off in Tel Aviv, Israel from Tuesday. The central theme of this year’s Sakal Educon is ‘entrepreneurship and innovation’ and educationists will be discussing several topics including online education and internationalisation of education in the two-day conference. In all, 22 experts and educationists from Israel and other parts of the world will participate in the conference.
Prof Raanan Rein, Vice President, Tel Aviv University (TAU); Dr Giora Yaron, Chairman of the Executive Council of TAU, Business Leader from the India-Israel Forum; Abhijit Pawar, Managing Director of Sakal Media Group; Zohar Sharon, Chief Knowledge Officer, Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality, will formally inaugurate the 12th Sakal Educon.
The first day of the conference has different sessions including ‘New Approaches to Online Education’, ‘Training the next Generation of Entrepreneurs’, ‘Entrepreneurship and Development’, ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship in a new Cybernetic Environment’ and TAU’s ‘Internationalisation and Teaching Innovation’. Besides, the team from India will visit various departments of TAU.
Sakal Educon is playing a pivotal role for over a decade in bridging the gap between international standards of education and Indian education system and helping Indian educational experts get a first-hand experience of developments in international education systems. Earlier, the events were held in Germany, China, France, Sri Lanka, Turkey and other places in India and for the first time, the conference is being held in Israel.
