PUNE: May Fest, a festival for kids organised by the Sakal Media Group, concluded on Sunday with an enthusiastic participation from children in a range of activities.
The children indulged in various activities and workshops like robotics, paper quilling, creative crafts, aero-modelling, science toys, clay modelling, fun with science, creative name-plate making, shoe coloring, chocolate bouquet making and magic tricks during the two-day fest.
Along with these fun-filled workshops, there was a ‘Mango Eating’ competition which was very popular among the young participants. The winners, Shree Sakpal, Gauri Wadekar, Anmitra Gosavi, Saumya Gaikwad, Shreyash Lambate, Rudra Kamble, Aryan Kadam, Ananya Vaidya and Shakya Gandle were presented with mangoes.
Appreciating Sakal’s efforts in hosting a festival for kids, Directors of Clara Global School, Anirudh Tupe and William Smith said it was a wonderful initiative by Sakal as it engrossed the children in great range of activity. They expressed happiness that workshops were entertaining as well as educational.
“The festival was a great experience for students as they got a chance to enjoy and get a break in their vacations. The event was well organised. More than 420 students participated from our organisation and we look forward to more such programmes organised by Sakal,” said Arpita Gudhial from Human Resources’s team of IT giants IBM.
Icing on the cake was magic show in the evening, which was free for all children and was enjoyed
thoroughly.
