Mr, Kunal Kumar, Municipal Commissioner, Pune has appealed to the city residents to help the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) in preparing a proper vision for the Smart City initiative.
Mr. Kumar addressed a gathering during the official launch of the three-phase Smart City programme at the Kasba Ganpati Mandal.
Smart phones were distributed among 10 members of the Tanishka Foundation, an initiative of DCF, enabling them to digitally collect information about aspirations of the citizens of Pune during the first phase of the programme.
Those present at the event included Shri Pratap Pawar, Chairman, Sakal Media Group; Mr. Abhijit Pawar, Managing Director, SMG; Mr. Dattatraya Dhankawade, Mayor, Pune city; Mr. Kunal Kumar, Municipal Commissioner, Pune; Mr. Sunil Ramanand, Joint Commissioner of Police; Mr. Suhas Kulkarni, advisor to the Kasba Ganpati Trust and Mr. Shrikant Shete, Chairman of the Kasba Ganpati Trust.
Members of the Tanishka Foundation will go from home to home to collect information about the vision and problems of the people. We appeal to people to cooperate with these women and provide appropriate answers in order to achieve the dream of Smart City.
