“Farmers need not be told how to do farming. They need state-of-the-art technology to bring prosperity to the agricultural field,” Labour and Skill Development Minister Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar said here on Sunday.

Patil Nilangekar was speaking at an agricultural meeting organised by Sakal International Learning Center (SILC). Sakal Media Group’s DCF Advisories Director Bobby Nimbalkar and SILC Director Dr Apoorva Palkar were present on the occasion.

Patil Nilangekar further said that farmers will be able to achieve progress with the help of modern technology. “The old farmers can predict what kind of crops can be cultivated by merely looking at the soil. The farmers are also well versed in predicting the weather by just looking at the clouds. This is a precious skill. If the farmers are taught more modern skills, progress will be faster,” he said.
