Madhurangan, an initiative taken by the Sakal Media Group, is a community that focuses on empowering women by arranging different events for them. Madhurangan was launched in the year 2004 with an objective of empowering women in Maharashtra. Since its launch, the Madhurangan community has spread across more than 50 important cities and towns with more than 70,000 members in the age group of 18 years and above in Maharashtra and Goa.

Madhurangan is a platform initiated, executed and enjoyed by women from an array of social backgrounds. Women across Maharashtra have rediscovered various innovative avenues of celebrating womanhood. This is a coveted platform that has given women a new and refined identity. What started as just an idea, has now become a social movement for women from Maharashtra.
Madhurangan is the member women’s community where all of them come together and share their views on life, explore art & culture and revive their passions too. Every new member gets a yearly subscription to a highly acclaimed periodical towards entrepreneurship development, the ‘Tanishka Magazine’ along with a special gift.
Wonderful trips to exotic destinations, excursions to beautiful locations and rare opportunities of unwinding in nature and relaxing by splendid beaches, day outings to agro tourism places, health talks with renowned medical practitioners, workshops and dance competitions are some of the activities organized by this community. A sincere effort of entrepreneurship development is also carried out amongst members since the inception of the forum.
It is a platform of Education, Entertainment & overall Personality Development of women to empower them. Women from varied backgrounds, socio-economic classes, and demographic profiles come together under its aegis to work towards a better society.
