Sakal India Foundation (SIF) has appealed to all the people who are interested in research work to apply for its annual research scholarship for the year 2015-2016. The scholarships will be given by Sakal India Foundation (SIF) and Oak Sanshodhan Pathyavrutti. Every year SIF grants scholarship to the aspirants who are interested in working with people involved in the research of heart diseases, diabetes, cancer, biotechnology and poultry. The scholarship is given under the names of Damodar Madhav Oak and Sudha Damodar Oak. Under this initiative the aspirants will receive a sum of Rs 20,000 for the first year. However, in the second year, after assessing their quality of work, an equivalent amount of money will be given by the foundation.
Interested candidates can send their applications along with a Cover letter with their Name and Address on it. These applications should be sent to Executive Secretary, Sakal India Foundation, 515 Budhwar Peth, Pune-411002 till 16th January, 2016. The application form will be available at the SIF office from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. The applications will be accepted till 30th January, 2016. Out of the applications received, two candidates will be selected for SIF and Oak Sanshodhan Pathyavrutii each.
