Pune: The auditorium was packed for the play ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’ on day two of Sakal Natyamahotsav. The theatre festival has been organised by the Sakal Media Group and will be on until June 5 at Balgandharva Rang Mandir.
The story of a young couple — played by Umesh Kamat and Spruha Joshi — was entertaining and had a message at its core.
Sakal Natyamahotsav is powered by PN Gadgil and Sons, in association with 115 Hilltown, Pride Purple Group-Rama Group and Kohinoor Group. Lokmanya Multipurpose Cooperative Bank is the banking partner for the event.
Amit Modak, CEO, PN Gadgil and Sons, said that the the jewellery brand has always felt it’s their duty to support art, be it any form. He said, “Our business is related to art, which the people in Pune have been witnessing for the past six decades through our jewellery. As theatre is an art form, we at Gadgil we have always found it our responsibility to support art of any form. Theate is a live art and Punekars love theatre.”
On Friday, ‘Gela Udat’ will be presented from 9.30 pm onwards.
